What I did on Wild Country
I wore many different hats on Wild Country. I worked as a designer creating and balancing cards, as a systems designer creating and connecting various parts and loops together, and led our Quality Assurance sessions to make sure that what we made was being vetted thoroughly and tweaked based on feedback we received.
Designing Cards
I designed and balanced over 100 cards and led the design of two DLC expansions working on theme and new mechanics. I did research on what makes cards fun and interesting and tweaked the numbers using data and spreadsheets to make a fun play experience.
Designing Systems
Because the team was small, I also worked on various systems throughout the game such as the map, deck selection screen, results screen, player profile, and quite a few more!
Quality Assurance
I ran our daily QA sessions and worked with our lead producer and lead programmer to squash any bugs we came across, keep our JIRA board up-to-date, and help make our game as good as we could make it!
